Prologue
Most branding starts with the logo. We start two steps earlier, with the decision the logo is meant to express.
Before anything gets drawn we work out what the business stands for, who it is for, and what it will refuse to be. Then we build a system disciplined enough that the answer holds on a storefront, on a delivery bag, and on an export label in a market nobody has thought about yet.
The test is what happens when we hand it over. A brand that only holds together while a designer is watching it is not finished, however good the presentation looked.
Workflow
01 / Shape
Strategy
- Positioning
- Audience
- Competitor landscape
- Value proposition
- Naming
We spend the first fortnight on the question most briefs skip. What is this business, and who is it for. You leave with a written position you can hand to a copywriter or a photographer and get consistent work back.
02 / Build
Identity
- Logo & wordmark
- Arabic type
- Colour
- Design system
- Guidelines
- Tone of voice
A system that survives people who are not designers, on materials nobody has thought of yet. That means designing the failure cases. Sixteen pixels. One colour. Embroidered, etched, or sent to a sign maker with nothing but a PDF.
03 / Launch
Activation
- Packaging
- Signage
- Web direction
- Campaign
- Social systems
- Rollout
The stage most studios skip, and where most rebrands quietly die. We speak to your printer, your sign maker and your developer ourselves. A specification handed over without supervision comes back wrong most of the time.
Projects
Feynan Tours
Selling silence in a category that shouts.
An identity for desert eco-tourism positioned against the category rather than inside it. Four flat colours, no gradients, and a bilingual type system drawn to match rather than translated.
Who are we?
A studio with a narrow set of opinions and a long memory for detail.
The people who take your brief are the people who do the work. Nothing gets handed down once the pitch is over, and no account manager sits between you and the room where the decisions get made.
Photography, illustration, development and print production come from collaborators we have worked with for years, directed by the studio. One point of contact, one invoice.
How we work
Two weeks on what the business is before anything gets drawn. Every later decision gets judged against it.
A full brand system, strategy through to application. Fixed scope and fixed price, agreed in writing before we start.
Every price is on the site. You know whether we are in range before you write to us.
The people in the first call are the people on the files. No junior team inherits the work after the pitch.
Let's work together
Start something worth building.
